The Grey Bruce Farmers' Week Committee will be hosting Dr. Temple Grandin for a livestock day on October 30 at the Elmwood Community Centre.

Registration begins at 9:00am with the speaker program starting at 10:00am.

Dr. Grandin's presentation is entitled "Importance of Good Stockmanship and Design of Livestock Handling Facilities". There will be an extensive Q & A session, and book signing opportunities will be made available. Other presentations include:
  • "What is your cow signal score?" - Amelie Mainville Nadon and Darryl Smith from Purina/Cargill
  • "Proudly Canadian; Our Codes of Practice for the Care and Handling of Farm Animals" - Dr. Tina Widowski, University of Guelph
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Autism Grey Bruce.
